More UMass-UNH stuff
Did you see how well the UMass defense played? Six sacks. UNH ran for 87 yards on their first rushing play. After that they managed 130 yards rushing and 129 yards passing for the rest of the game. The wildcats averaged 36.8 points per outing. Against UMass they had 20 and 17 points. This article tells how Brown plotted the Wildcats troubles.
This article tells about Jason Hatchell. Another UMass article is here .
Matt Dougherty of the Sports Network is here .
As for New Hampshire there are aftermath articles here and here and here .
Did you go to the game? If so, read this article about Wildcat QB Ricky Santos. Relevant quote:
"But UMass's defensive pressure in that one wasn't nearly as ferocious as what we saw yesterday. The home crowd seemed to energize the Minutemen. The down linemen kept coming. So did the linebackers. And the defensive backs."
It does make a difference when you help...
UPDATE: Matt Vautour has three articles up in today's gazette.
A game article here .
An article about the Hatchells, Pater and Filii .
And the road to Montana .
