A big "Thank you" to the blog reader who sent me this link about NFL Draft "momentum" for UMass Senior Vladimir Ducasse.

Mrs Blog and I had some Saturday errands to run, so I set my DVD and watched the Montana-Appalachian State game starting about 9:00 PM my time. It turned out be a wonderful advertisement for FCS football as the Grizz hung on to beat the Mountaineers in a a snow storm. The best player on the field was not Appy's Armanti Edwards, but a 6-0 195 shifty Montana RB named Chase Reynolds. Who'da thunk it?
Highlights, images and quotes from the Grizz home page here.
The Great Falls Tribune says it was a Thrilla.
The Missoulian says it was a perfect storm.
Interesting footnote from the Mountaineers' write up: Appalachian State is 0-9 in games west of the Mississippi River.

Thought for the day (quoting former UMass HC Mark Whipple): about not being in the playoffs--- "Stinks doesn't it?"
