QCU open to ex-team captains return

Thursday, July 12, 2012
THE lack of communication between Cebu Queen City United management and suspended players Jan Michael Flores and Mark Hilay has led to the two key players missing their return to the Cebu-based United Football League squad.
The two players were sanctioned by the management after they played with Hiroshi FC in the Interclub tournament, breaking the order from Queen City United not to play as the UFL was still ongoing.

The management was expecting these players to show up after the ban, which was effective until the end of the UFL season, had already prescribed but to no avail.
They did not show up in the tryout. Wa na gyud sila nagpakita so we took that to mean na they were not interested, said QCU president Stanley Villacin.
They also waited for them to show up in the training and practices but they were not around when the club held an open tryout.
QCU presumed their continued absence as a sign of them not being interested to return to the team considering the ban had already lapsed.
They were supposed to be back with the team because they already served their sanction but they didnt come back, Villacin said.
Villacin, however, said that they would always be welcome to accept them anytime as they are still accepting players to join the squad but they have to be back from scratch by trying out.
Meanwhile, Flores said that he was just waiting for the call of the management on the other end.
Wala man ko nila tawgan. Mauwaw ko mubalik nila na wala man ko gi ingnan, said Flores.
Flores, the teams skipper before the suspension, said he is still interested to play with the team but hes only waiting for a word from them.
He also added that he is willing to go through the tryouts if thats what it takes for him to be accepted again to play with the team.
