CCSC to limit use of football field
This story appears on Sun.Star Cebu's Aug. 13 issue.
CEBU City Sports Center (CCSC) manager Ricky Ballesteros wants the use of the football field regulated to preserve its state.
CCSC will host the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation. Inc. on Aug. 19, its first tournament after renovation and Ballesteros said that the policies will help maintain the quality of the field.
"Kailangan naay interval pag gamit para dili madaot ang field if sige siya gamiton," said Ballesteros.
He added that the daily use of the field could damage the grass and they need to preserve CCSC is being is planned to be the venue for the Azkals friendly match in November.
"Kailangan gyud patubuon ang grass kay if daily na gamit kay dili katubo ug tarong," he said.
The field will be available for practice use thrice a week every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Those who want to use the field will have to book in the CCSC office and pay the fees, which varies for daytime and night time use. However, Ballesteros said that they will reserve priority to Abellana National School.
Though they are open to hosting festival games or major tournaments, which are usually held during the weekends, Ballesteros said he will stop play if it rains.
"Okay ra gamiton ang field for competition but if mu uwan kay dili na siya pagamiton," he said.
Meanwhile, CCSC had already sent its feedback on the checklist requirements provided by Archt. Ike Mudamba for the Azkals friendly.
Ballesteros said the logistical support is set except for the parking area where they still have to plan well in coordination with the Cebu City government for added security and safety.
CFA vice president Rico Navarro said that they have yet to formally inform Mayor Mike Rama of the Azkals friendly but once the final plans will be laid out, they will meet with him. CDG
