Big game today against the Delaware Blue Hens. the losing team goes to three losses in five games. Making the playoffs with that start would be difficult. In 1999, UMass lost three of their first four against New Hampshire, Toledo and Hofstra and still made the playoffs. But they had to win seven in a row to do it.
Beat the Hens today and the road will be much, much easier.
Bob McGovern over on his excellent UMass all-sports blog "Between Mullins and McGuirk" thinks so too.
