Aimed to provide another avenue for grassroots development in football while in the midst of school breaks, the Talisay City-Executive Village Football Club Invitational Festival of Football 2010 is set to kick off on October 27, 2010 at Carlos Hilado Memorial State College-Talisay football pitch.
This 11-aside tourney will be brawled in two categories: Under-18 ladies and Under-13 boys and will follow the Asian Football Confederation format.
Among the teams expected to suit up in the tournament are Manila-based teams Ateneo de Manila and Miriam College-Manila while Central Visayas teams confirmed are Cebu Football Association and Antoniese Football Club of Dumaguete.
Also joining the competition is Central Philippine University in Iloilo and local squads from the Kabankalan City Football Club, Bago City FC, Victorias-Don Bosco Technical Institute, St. John�s Football Club, EFVC, Bacolod Molasses and host-Talisay squad.
Bacolod Molasses, headed by Larry Lituana and Melky Benedicto, consist of standouts from Celta de Victorias Football Club, Domingo Lacson National High School, Bacolod City National High School and Negros Occidental National High School.
This competition is a continuous joint-effort of the City of Talisay under Mayor Eric Saratan and EVFC headed by its president Rafael Lizares Jr. (Jerome S. Galunan Jr.)
