A TOTAL of 23 coaches joined the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) C-License Course that concludes today at the Tionko field.
Philippine Football Federation (PFF) technical director and former Philippine Azkals coach Jose Ariston Caslib conducted the 14-day course to local and foreign participants.

"There will be quality players if there are quality coaches. That is why PFF has made an effort in conducting annual licensure courses for coaches to uplift the football scene not only in the city but in the country as well," he said.
He tackled fundamentals of football such as dribbling, shooting, defending, goalkeeping and attacking so they can train their respective players efficiently.
Caslib also discussed different coaching methods for different age groups, sports science, sports nutrition, factors of football performance, match analysis and basic tactics and strategies.
He facilitated the written and practical exams for the coaches as well.
The written exam assessed the decision-making of coaches while the practical exam tested the coaches on how to prepare a practice plan and the necessary equipment for an efficient training.
