FBS football is getting close, guys!

The Bangor Daily News has more on the UMass-Maine game in 2013. This would be the kind of game that would be excellent for a renovated McGuirk. We could keep some of our New England roots and have a winnable bowl-counting game.

The MAC blog "Hustle Belt" looks at the league's offensive lines for 2012. The feeling here is that the Minutemen O-line is one of the most FBS-ready units on the team. If they have somebody to block for, they will be good.

With a number of FBS teams banned from bowls, there won't be enough teams to fill the slots. That means South Alabama is in the running for a bowl slot. If UMass were eligible this year, so would the Minutemen.
