Azkals to have mall tour, courtesy call, football clinic and just two-day training in Cebu visit

CEBU fans will get the chance to see the Azkals personally and witness their training as members of the Philippine National Football team will be in Cebu next week for a five-day visit.

The Azkals will have a two-day training camp on May 29 and 30 at the Aboitiz Sports Field in as part of their preparation for the world cup qualifiers. Ayala Center Cebu will also stage a mall tour to give chance to the public to meet and greet members of the national team.


The team will also have a clinic on May 28 for kids 12 years old and below and on May 29, the team will train from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. They will
just have a half-day training the next day to give way to their other appointments.

On May 30, team is set to meet Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia for a courtesy call before heading out to Ayala Center Cebu for the 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. mall tour.

Ayala Center Cebu will arrange a meet-and-greet with the Azkals, which will also serve as a fund- raising activity for the Little Azkals, the Philippine team that will see action in the Asian Football Confederation Festival of Football in Malaysia next month.

Passes

Ayala has yet to finalize details of the event but passes for the meet-and-greet event will be made available to interested audience on May 25.


Cebu Football Association Richard Montayre will also join the mall tour and will talk about the plans of the association while fans will also be given the chance to ask questions from their favorite Azkals.

The team will arrive in Cebu on the May 25 after stops in Tacloban and Iloilo, where they will play a tuneup match with locals. However, brothers Philip and James Younghusband are set to join the team in the final three days of their visit.

After their Cebu stop, the team will leave for Germany for an in-depth training camp in Dresden and is also set to play a few matches with German clubs. Some of the Europe-based Azkals will join the team in Germany.
