Let's be totally Frank about this. Given a choice of watching Balestier Khalsa playing Woodlands Wellington or watching the latest reality TV hit from the US what would you rather do? For me, a trip to Toa Payoh would win hands down.
Woodlands, among other things, had only managed 17 goals going into their 31st game of the season and were in 12th position two points behind Tanjong Pagar.
Balestier, on the other hand, were safe in 10th place, a threat to no one except Young Lions, a place higher.
The home team were 2-0 up by the 34th minute with goals from Ishak Zainol and Vikraman and you would have thought the fat lady would be getting ready to do her bit. After all, we're talking Woodlands here.
The Rams had only scored more than one goal in a game twice this season and the last time was when they defeated Hougang United back in July. Three goals in their last seven, how the hell were they gonna get anything from this game?
Goh Swee Swee, so good they named him twice, pulled one back on 56'. Game on? Well, yes actually. Moon Soon Ho equalised with 17' left on the clock and it would have been a happy bunch of Rams heading north after earning a valuable point.
SAFFC on the other hand are scoring for fun. Their 6-3 crushing of Geylang United was their 8th win in their last 10 and their six goals meant they had netted 34 goals in that time. Coach Richard Bok must be left wondering why they weren't showing this kind of form early in the season.
The Warriors sit in 3rd spot, four points behind second placed Tampines and six points behind Home with two games left. Mislav Karoglan scored twice giving him 33 for the season while Fazrul Nawaz hit his 15th of the season while ex Warrior Daniel Hammond was among the scorers for a hapless Geylang.
Another evening of great entertainment in the SLeague but you wouldn't think so judging by the attendances.
